Marathon Finish

Running Accomplishments:

started may 18 with "couch potato to 5K" training program.  ran first 5K july 4th about 28 minutes.

ran first half marathon aug 29 in 2:00:15.  did great the first 10 miles, then fizzled.  I asked myself at mile 11, why would anyone want to go 26.2 miles.   Three weeks later I met my wife at mile 18 of her marathon and ran with her to mile 24 to offer support.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would like to run in several half marathons and maybe a full in sep 2010. 

Long-Term Running Goals:

to be able to run on a regular basis (at least 3x weekly) for the health benefits.

Personal:

my oldest son has run in several marathons.  he got my wife and his brother and sister and myself running.  on aug 29 the five of us all ran in the top of utah half marathon.there are three other children that haven't joined us..yet
